The RX1E-A Electric Aircraft Flies from Hefei to Lu'an: A Milestone in Exploring "Low-Altitude Living Circle" with Successful Relocation, Showcasing Stability, Economy and Potential for Commercial Operations in Building Connected Low-Altitude Transportation Networks
Hefei Electric Aircraft "Flies" into Lu'an, Exploring the Construction of a "Low-Altitude Living Circle"
On July 29, the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, a domestically produced electric fixed-wing aircraft, took off from a flight camp in Lujiang County, Hefei, and successfully landed at Jin'an General Airport in Lu'an City.
The flight from Lujiang to Lu'an is less than 150 kilometers. Taking off from the camp and landing at the airport, a practical "low-altitude channel" has been opened with the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft as the key carrier.

This aircraft relocation mission was completed by the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, which is manufactured by Hefei enterprise Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry. It has obtained an airworthiness certificate and is currently the only electric fixed-wing aircraft in China that can carry out commercial operations.
Warmly celebrate the successful relocation of Zero Gravity Aviation's RX1E-A Electric Aircraft to Jin'an Airport
On the morning of July 29, the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft took off from Lujiang, flew through the hinterland of the hills in central Anhui, and arrived at Lu'an Jin'an Airport, with the entire flight taking less than an hour.
Yang Yue, a pilot from Zero Gravity Aviation, introduced that during the flight of the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, the power system was stable, the power consumption was steady, and the remaining power was still within a controllable range when landing, and the overall performance was reassuring.
The RX1E-A Electric Aircraft has a 150-minute endurance and a 280-kilometer range. It adopts an all-electric drive, with low noise and zero emissions, and has been widely used in flight training and experience flights and other scenarios. "Its biggest advantage is not speed, but stability and economy," said Ni Cong, brand director of Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry.

This relocation with the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft is not only a test of its flight performance but also a practical exploration of energy management and flight path scheduling. "We reserved redundancy according to the standard power ratio for the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, and there were no accidents during the flight, which shows that electric aircraft like it have the basis for normalized operation," Yang Yue said.
Flight camps + general airports, linking low-altitude "capillaries"
The RX1E-A Electric Aircraft took off from a flight camp in Lujiang instead of a traditional airport, which is a major highlight of this flight.
The starting point is a flexibly deployed and quickly taking off and landing flight camp, and the end point is a fully equipped general aviation airport - one is "lightweight" and the other is "professional". The first connection between the two with the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft makes people see the possibility of low-altitude transportation being "connectable".
It is not uncommon for aircraft like the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft to "be able to fly"; the difficulty lies in finding an efficient and low-cost operation plan on the ground.
According to Jin'an Airport, as the landing site for this flight of the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, they have made operational preparations for it, including charging condition assessment, site scheduling, and flight plan filing. "After the airport and enterprises form a linkage, such low-altitude relocations with the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft can be replicated in batches."

As an enterprise, Zero Gravity is trying to build a "low-altitude economic ecosystem" based in Hefei, with the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft playing a key role:
With electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOL), the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft and other electric fixed-wing aircraft as the core carriers, supporting green flight camps, aviation science popularization museums and other scene facilities, to build a flight channel that "can take off, land and connect" between cities and suburbs.
Ni Cong said: "Hefei's local integration capabilities in new energy power, general aviation operation, infrastructure supporting and other aspects make us confident to land technology, products including the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft and application scenarios in this city."
A path "flown" out by the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft, the imagination of low-altitude life has just begun
Although the flight from Lujiang to Lu'an by the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft is only a relocation mission, it is a complete process verification for the flight camp, the airport and the enterprise team. From flight plan declaration, airspace coordination, take-off and landing support, power control, to flight records and evaluation, each link is implemented according to actual combat standards, and the process is compact and smooth.
Different from traditional aviation, the core of low-altitude flight with aircraft like the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft is not distance or speed, but whether it can be close to life and land in scenarios.
For the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft and other such electric light aircraft, experience flights, scenic spot connections, training and teaching, and intercity short-distance travel are all practical application spaces.
"Actually, this flight by the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft is like a preview of future air commuting around the city in advance," Ni Cong said. "If aircraft like the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft can take off and land flexibly between several camps in the future, the travel experience will change a lot."
In Hefei, the locations of some flight camps have covered areas such as around Chaohu Lake, Lujiang, and Feixi, and will continue to expand in the future to better serve the operation of the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft.
Such camps are not large in area, but can be quickly deployed and supported on the spot, and are the most flexible nodes in building a "low-altitude living circle" for the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft and other models.
At present, many local flight camps in Hefei are being improved, and relevant general airports are also exploring operation plans adapted to electric aircraft like the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft. The success of such short-distance relocation flights by the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft has accumulated real data and operation experience for all parties, and also provided operational references for further expanding flight applications of the RX1E-A Electric Aircraft in the future.
